Digital Quran Program for the Blind

Today, I am pleased to present to you one of the distinguished programs in reading the dear book of God, which was programmed by my dear friend Suleiman Al-Qasimi.

• This directory can be accessed from anywhere in the program by pressing the f1 key

Introduction to the program:

Program name: The Digital Quran.

Version: 2.2

About the program:

The Digital Qur’an, a program that aims to provide a new experience for browsing the Holy Book of God, while ensuring that the method of use is approached with the experience of reading through the paper Qur’an.

The program is primarily intended for blind screen reader users, and it is supported by a number of keyboard shortcuts to speed up dealing with the program.

Program Advantages:

1. Browse the book of God in the Madinah page system, reading and listening.
2. Provides detailed information on each page. When standing on any page, the surah or verses of the surah included on it are announced, as well as the part in which this page is located.
3. The ability to browse by parts
4. The possibility of browsing through the fence.
5. Customize automatic page turning in listening mode.
6. Multiple search modes, either for the page, the part, or the surah.
7. The ability to download a number of readers and add them to the program.
8. The ability to put a tag or thread on the page so that it can be opened quickly when entering the program.
9. Ability to copy page content to clipboard.
10. The ability to export page content as a text document.
11. It is now possible to change the reader directly from the reading screen without having to go back to the main program page.

Explanation of use:

when opening the program; You will be in front of a list of pages of the Noble Qur’an, and you can simply move between them through the arrows and choose one of them with the enter key.

And through the main program interface; You can go to the menu bar by pressing alt and go to the main menu to find the following options:

1. Surah List: Surahs of the Holy Qur’an appear for you, and you can click on them to go to the page where this surah begins.

note:

You can quickly press ctrl+shift+s to open the surah menu from the program's main interface.

2. List of parts: Here you can browse the Holy Quran according to the part, and you can click on one of the parts to move quickly to the page from which it starts.

note:

Use ctrl+shift+j to quickly open this menu.

3. search:

This item allows you to open the search dialog.

Once you open the dialogue; The cursor will automatically take you to the search field.

You can go back with lips and tabs to choose the search mode either through chapters, parts or pages.

comments:

1- The search dialog can be opened by pressing ctrl+f, either from the main program window or from the reading window.

2- The last search position you performed is saved so that if you searched through the wall and returned to the search dialog, the position will remain the same as it was when you last searched.

4. Stop signs:

Since the text version of the Holy Qur’an was taken from a file converted in Braille; This element allows you to identify the stop and link signs approved in this version.

5. Exit: This item simply closes the program, knowing that you do not need this item, as soon as you press alt+f4 the program will exit normally.

The second menu of the home screen menus is Options.

This list contains two items.

1. Download more readers:

When you click on this item, the program will put you in front of a list of a number of famous readers that you can add to the program.

to select a reader; Move the arrows and stop on the reader you want, then press the tab button to move to the download button, and open it through the enter button.

Here the program will start downloading the audio files and add them to the program, and you will notice that there is a read-only editing box in which the download percentage appears.

2. Preferences:

This field is the program settings. You can modify whatever options you want, such as the preferred reader, enable and disable automatic switching between pages... and other options.

You can open this dialog anywhere in the program by pressing ctrl+alt+p

The last point we talk about on the program's main screen is the ribbon button, which you can activate automatically by pressing ctrl+r

This button appears if the bar or bookmark is placed on a page.

This button takes the user directly to that page even if the user exits the program.

The bookmark in the program has been called the tape, so that the user feels the experience of reading the Qur’an in the manner of the paper Qur’an.

Reading window:

The reading window appears when one of the pages, chapters, or chapters is selected to be read.

A number of shortcuts have been customized to improve the reading experience from this window.

First: Listening:

To turn the reader's voice on or off, just press the spacebar or press the play button.

To introduce the trigger we press alt with the right arrow

To delay the trigger: press alt with the left arrow.

Second: Miscellaneous:

To move to the next page, we press alt+down arrow

To go back to the previous page, press alt + up arrow

To return to the list of pages, we press the escape button

To copy the content of the page to the clipboard, press alt+shift+c

To export the page content as a text document, we press ctrl+shift+s

To find out the current page number: We press the letter S

To find out the content of the current page, for example: the surah on which this page is located, and the range of verses from that surah: we press the letter M.

To find out the part number of the current page: We press the hamza on the line.

To open the search dialog, press ctrl+f

To place or raise the bar on the page, press ctrl+r or click the place/raise bar button located after the play button.

To open the program's preferences, press ctrl+alt}p.
